Genous is a decarbonisation concierge that helps UK households make substantial adjustments to their carbon footprints. There has until now been no easy, co-ordinated way for these households to reduce residential and car emissions, which account for 30% of controllable greenhouse gas emissions. It's difficult for most people to understand the problem and find a workable solution, though these must be found if the goal of transitioning to net zero is to be realised. Genous has helped people install insulation and solar panels and switch to sustainable heating sources and electric cars and will be scaling its activity levels and service range in 2023.

"Our culture is about respect and delivery – at multiple levels. At the planetary level, we’re trying to do the right thing for the Earth and to be effective in reducing the impact of climate change. At a customer level, we’re trying to help people, deliver a great service and get them to a position they are happy with and where they are making a difference.

 

So at an employee level, our culture should also respect individuals’ particular needs, aspirations, and their best ways of working while also making sure that we deliver the best outcomes for our clients and the planet. We actually think that respect and delivery focus go naturally together, even though many corporate cultures prioritise one at the expense of the other.
