Shout Out UK
Shout Out UK (SOUK) is a multi-award winning social enterprise on a mission to defend and amplify democracy by ensuring all citizens understand how their government functions through political literacy, are inoculated from disinformation and misinformation through media literacy and are given a chance to have a say in how their country is run. Since its inception in 2015, SOUK has organised large scale impartial democratic engagement and voter registration campaigns, including partnering with the Greater London Authority for London Voter Registration Week in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
SOUK is also the secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Political Literacy, which provides an all-party forum to discuss the current provision of political education and to explore how best to strengthen political literacy education so that young people can play an informed and active role in our democracy.
